Birth class: Bevallen doen we samen!
What will we cover?
Want to start the birth well prepared, together? In our birth class ‘Bevallen doen we samen’ we take you and your partner through everything that lies ahead, in one evening.
- The stages of labour: from the first contractions until your baby is here. What happens in your body, and how do you know labour has started?
- Pain relief, natural and with medication: what can you do yourself to cope with contractions, and what medication is available if you want it?
- When things go differently: not every birth goes the way you imagined. We explain what can happen, so it does not take you by surprise.
- Staying in control and going with the flow: how to make your wishes clear, and how to adapt if things go differently. Your birth plan is discussed too.
- After the birth: about the first days with your baby.
Your partner plays an important role during the birth. That is why this evening is for the two of you. You will go home with practical tools, and hopefully with lots of confidence in what is ahead. There is of course plenty of room for all your questions.
Practical
- When: once a month, from 19:00 to 21:30. Preferably when you are between 30 and 34 weeks pregnant.
