Week 09

Drawing of your baby in week 9

About the size ofa grape

The muscles have now developed enough for your baby to make small movements. Your baby is now 3 cm and 2 grams.

From this week on we no longer speak of an embryo but of a foetus. The muscles have now developed so far that your baby can already fidget with its hands (not much bigger than a pea). Those hands even have fingers and a thumb now. The legs keep growing too, so your little one already has ankles and knees. Your baby is now also getting a real little face, with a lovely snub nose, a mouth and a tongue!
