Week 32

Drawing of your baby in week 32

About the size ofa honeydew melon

Your baby is now 40 cm and 1800 grams.

Most babies are now lying lengthways. This can be head down, but your baby can also still easily be in a breech position. If you look carefully at your belly, you can sometimes see a hand or foot sticking out. You may already be able to feel how your little one is lying, because a leg is pressing against your ribs, or because you have pain in your pelvis and ligaments from the pressure of the head. If your baby is not lying the right way yet, don’t panic! Almost all babies turn into the right position by themselves between 34 and 36 weeks. If your baby is stubborn and stays in the breech position, an attempt can be made to turn it the right way (external cephalic version).
